MEET THE TEAM

Erin Patel, LCSW

“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.” - Abraham Maslow

Who She Is: Erin Patel, LCSW is an experienced psychotherapist who earned her master’s degree in clinical social work from Rutgers University in New Jersey (Go RU!). She provides a compassionate, empathetic, and supportive environment to promote healing and growth for her clients. Erin prides herself on being positive, warm, and approachable, which helps build a strong therapeutic relationship. She strives for making clients feel comfortable in the therapy process and it is her top priority to create a safe space.

Who She Sees: With experience working with clients facing anxiety, depression, life transitions/changes,  employment/job issues, adjustment disorders, relationship issues, trauma, and severe mental illnesses, Erin is equipped to be a strong support through your therapy journey. She utilizes a Client Centered approach and integrates parts of CBT, DBT and ACT into her practice. With almost 10 years of experience both in the private practice and community mental health space, Erin is ready to walk hand-in-hand with you towards a place of hope and well-being.

What to Expect in Therapy: Every client is their own individual person, and their therapy experience should reflect that.  Erin has a collaborate approach to help her clients set goals and explore their own strengths towards practical actions to meet those goals.  She specifically works with each client to explore their purpose for therapy, what they are looking to get out of it, and how they can accomplish those goals together.  Therapy style and modalities will then tailor to what is going to be the most helpful.
